The vintage Emerald & Diamond Gypsy Ring is an ode to the gypsies. This is what we call a statement ring.
The origin of the Gypsy ring style dates from the 1900s. A plain or engraved band set with the most beautiful crystals as rubies, diamonds, sapphires and emeralds. It is said that gypsies found those gems on their travels and put them in their ring. Later on, these rings were traditionally given to young girls or as a friendship band. The Gypy ring was very popular in the late Victorian times.
